Our Attic isn't like a typical dance studio. Our goal is to focus on growth, challenge and connections, offering open classes where dancers can develop their unique brand while connecting with creatives and other like-minded dancers.

Each week, we bring in different choreographers who are current leaders in the industry and different choreography to maximise each dancers journey. Everyone who walks through our doors has the opportunity to have access to classes that would usually only be available to competition team members. We understand that comp teams and end of year showcases can be costly and dancers feel stagnant from repetitive choreography. We believe in fostering everyone's dreams whether it be extension training, professional dancers between gigs or just wanting to get back into the studio. Our space aims to create real opportunities for dancers in our community. 

Our Attic offer the following styles:

Commercial Jazz & Lyrical - more choreography based, less technical aspects (choreographers give the option)

Hip Hop - hip hop moves exploring different styles

Break Dance - Break moves that require strength and groove

Ballet - our open ballet is not syllabus driven but a flow of ballet and strength to maintain technique in the industry

Dance Technique - Learn the art of dancing technique in our tech classes which focus on strength, mindset, stamina and linking technical aspects of dance.  

Latin - learn latin with a commercial twist. Great for commercial dancers wanting a cruise ship pathway.

Contemporary - although we don't have classes in contemporary on our timetable we do offer pop up contemporary classes. Contemporary is a fusion of lyrical and ballet with a focus on shapes, story and emotional connection. 

Our Attic offer classes for children, teens and adults. Our teachers cater to all different levels for most classes unless stated on the booking platform. The difference between intermediate and advanced level, is choreography intricacy and class pace (advanced moves a lot quicker). By providing longer class times, we believe everyone can master choreography with a great mentor, that's why we hold great faith that our choreographers will be able to break down and master choreography. 

Our Attic are proud to offer specific children's classes for our under 12s because we understand open classes can be daunting, find out which kids classes we have below:

Dreamers U5 which delves into all styles of movement giving your little one the freedom to try all styles

U9s Jazz & Hip Hop classes - it's recommended 6-9 years can come to these classes but if your little one feels confident and wants a challenge, we are happy for them to jump in our under 12s

U12s Comm Jazz & Hip Hop classes - these classes are great for building skill, muscle memory and confidence. 

The rest of our classes are OPEN. Open means any age and ability can attend our Open classes. We encourage dancers to challenge for growth and don't restrict this, however dancers and parents must be aware that open classes can be fast-paced and may involve mature moves and music choices. Our choreographers will always give suitable options for any mature moves in the class.

Our Attic is proud to offer a class pass system. We know life gets busy and dance can be costly. Our philosophy, dancers thrive in the right environment! We believe that by having a class pass system, our classes will attract dancers who are ready to connect, challenge and grow. Each dancer is nurtured and encouraged to take control of their own journey.

You can purchase passes in a range of options ie. drop in pass, 10 pass, 9 pass, unlimited week pass or take advantage of our 10 week unlimited package which includes everything on offer for regular weekly classes. It's very simple, the more passes you buy the less you pay. Classes are catigorised (open classes, dreamers/movers, development).

Although we do our very best to keep costs as low as possible, Masterclasses, workshops and Pop-Up Industry classes are not a part of our regular class pass option. There are several reasons these are charged at a per-class rate. Firstly, we value our choreographers and their amazing talent, so we think they are worth it! Each creative we choose, are current industry professionals and expected to deliver at a masterclass level. Individual rate and flight costs can greatly differ, increasing the cost of our passes.

Pop-Up Industry class passes are a part of The Our Attic Collective, which aims to support our growing artists. Proceeds from each class pass are passed back to our artists allowing them to re-invest in their unique brand. 

Our Attic is a space that nurtures creativity and growth. We offer two types of hire, private lesson studio hire and private hire.

Private lesson studio hire - this hire secures a private lesson time and date with your desired mentor. Choose Appointment/Private lesson studio hire to secure your spot (passes can also be purchased in bulk). This is open to anyone and can also be shared amongst a group. Whether you want to polish choreography, refine technique, or learn choreography we can help you.

Our Attic Private Hire - We love supporting the community, this is why anyone can hire our space for ie group rehearsals, private lessons, photography, videography, or to simply move. On the app/online, choose Private Hire and check out the studio availability (passes can also be purchased in bulk). Choose your time and date. You will then be sent our Studio Hire Agreement & Photography/Video Waiver (these must be completed before proceeding). After completing the necessary documents you will be sent a confirmation txt along with our instructional video and door code.  

Our Attic has an extensive database of choreographers that are passionate about growth. Each one of our creatives are invested in nurturing each dancer as an individual. To secure one of our highly skilled mentors, choose private lesson studio hire on our app/online and secure with your studio hire payment. Once this is completed, you can then pay your choreographer/mentor their rate in cash on the day of your private lesson. We also provide private lessons for more than one client at a time, allowing you to share the cost. 

We invite studios, businesses, dancers, creatives and brands to collaborate with Our Attic. Connecting with the community is our number is important to us, and we pride ourselves on building a strong, united, supportive environment enabling longevity in the dance industry. 

OUR ATTIC COLLECTIVE - Seeing dancers and choreographers grow within the industry is crucial, and we are excited to support Sunny Coast talent in doing this! Our pop-up industry collective offers open class spaces to creatives who would like to have the opportunity to build their teaching skills, choreography and unique brand. Our aim? To provide quality training for our next generation of dancers. 

How the Our Attic Collective works:

• DM to Register to book your date and time

• Our Attic will add your class to our schedule for clients to book

• Our Attic will assist with exposure by promoting on stories and posts

• In order for our collective to work, all clients must be registered and book/pay through Mindbody or square at the door

• For every paying client that is checked into class, Our Attic will pay each choreographer an per client (please reach out for more information)

Some ground rules:​

• Choreographer must supply invoice with own ABN to Our Attic 

• Choreographer is responsible for opening and closing studio, check-ins

• Choreographer can video classes but client must complete photography and video waiver (these will be supplied through the Mindbody platform or paper form)

• Choreographer must complete studio hire and contractor agreement

• Choreographer must supply Blue Card and is responsible for own contractor insurance

• Choreographer will be responsible for leaving studio clean and tidy and making sure clients are respecting space
